iTree : World’s Largest iPod Dock

Austrian design house KMKG STUDIO in cooperation with speaker manufacturer Trenner & Friedl launched the worlds largest ipod dock, the itree. Itree is carved from a simple tree trunk, its rear-mounted speakers are pointed towards a wall to reflect the audio and the wood serves to resonate the sound in a similar fashion to a piano or violin, creating an optimum accoustic sound experience.

Currently the itree comes out in cherry, poplar or spruce. Carpenters in the Steirische Vulkanland region of southern Austria are employed to shape, hollow out and lovingly finish the trunk casing by hand.

Each itree is a unique creation, and as such carries a starting price of EUR 11,000 (US$14,982) – extra options include making the device compatible with Apple’s AirPlay wireless streaming technology, and a special version for the iPad.

Ferrari 599XX Evoluzione unveiled at the Bologna Motor Show

The Prancing Horse is undergoing a lot of upgrades every year, due to Ferrari’s enthusiasm. They have just unveiled a new racing car for the next year, the 599XX Evoluzione. One of the good parts of the Ferrari atmosphere is that their wealthy customers can get involved in their new projects, transforming the technology in F1 cars into road-car sensations.

This is a new program that they’ve started, and seems to be one of their greatest ideas ever. This program has seen its results during 2005, when the FXX, a street-legal version of the Ferrari Enzo was released, being followed by the FXX Evoluzione. Then, they presented the 599GTO, their top-tech and fastest car ever produced. But this is already old.

They have now released the 599XX Evoluzione, a car that’s “a second faster” than its predecessor, on Ferrari’s Fiorano test track. The car boasts a 6-liter V12 that generates 740HP. The car is packed with top technology, with customizable dynamic settings, depending on driver’s needs to make it possible for the car to be driven on roads.

Sadly, it will be produced in a short series of 29 cars, at a cost of €1,485,000 or $1,991,000. This means $250,000 more than the Ferrari 599XX. And they’re well worth the money, given the fact that this car has history, and, most of all, value.

Since May 2010, Irina Shayk, has been dating famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Pirelli 2012 Calender is Here

Mario Sorrenti shot the upcoming Pirelli 2012 with 13 models and actresses — all of which he’s worked with before — in Corsica. Among the featured? Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, Saskia de Brauw, Lara Stone, Joan Smalls, Guinevere van Seenus, Malgosia Bela, Edita Vilkevicute, Kate Moss, Milla Jovovich, Margareth Made, and Rinko Kikuchi.

Of the calendar’s look, Sorrenti explained: “You know, originally I thought I was going to do very sexy pictures, and when we got there I realized that I didn’t want the pictures to be sexy at all . . . I didn’t want them to be posing and arching and like sticking their boobs in my face or anything like that.” Thus, he added: “We tried to keep it very simple, there were times where we did just photographs with the model and myself and there was no one around. I think that was the moment when I was able to capture some of the most beautiful photographs . . . You kind of lose yourself and you go with the flow of the moment and just let things happen.”

Swedish sock brand, Happy Socks enlisted Terry Richardson to shoot their Holiday campaign, entitled “The Bald and the Beautiful”, featuring a cast of famous and semi-famous characters, which include supermodel, Ashley Smith, French model and actress, Camille Rowe, rappers Asap Rocky and Action Bronson, Maluca Mala, Sky Ferreira and DJ Physical Therapy.
