Well, here’s a pretty awesome sneaker accessory that definitely not all sneakers can go with! Mr. Kennedy, aDublin, Ireland-based company, makes hand-woven shoelaces from pure precious metals.
Currently the company offers 24karats gold shoelaces for $19,000, as well as silver ones for a cool $3,000.
The company’s name is inspired by Harvey Kennedy, who is widely credited as being the inventor of the shoelace back in 1790. On company’s website is stated that each set takes 120 hours to make. Our favorite detail though is that all laces, will be delivered by security and laced anywhere in the world.”
Of course, we’d expect nothing less…We totally like the Mr. Kennedy company and if they can sell $19,000 shoelaces, good for them. Maybe gold velcro can be their next project.
